Wash Activities
1) Construction of well and toilets alongwith with Home construction.
Gandhibhavan has constructed 7 homes for its beneficiaries in different parts of Kerala. With this home Well and Toilets also constructed during 2010-2014.
2. Constructing of toilets for the rehabilitation home
Gandhibhavan is constructing toilets for the inmates of rehabilitation home with the support of Lulu mandhir building fund at Kundaym , Pathanapuram. The aim of the rehabilitation home is to protect old aged persons, disabled persons, mentally illness persons and children.20 toilets are constructing in connection with rehabilitation home
Hygiene activities
1) Distribution of sanitizer, hand wash and lotions for self hygiene.
The second wave of COVID 19 has hit Kerala badly and the state is heading an explosion in COVID-19 cases. Gandhibhavan helped the health workers and transport workers by providing sanitizers , hand wash and Lotions to prevent the Covid 19. Hygiene is best way to prevent spreading of the Covid-19 among the society.
Gandhibhavan has donated a contribution to Chief Minister’s Covid-19 Relief Fund and the amount was handed over to the Kollam District Collector Sri.Abdul Nasser
2) Soap, Hand Wash & Detergent making and distribution
Gandhibhavan is making soap and detergent in connection with vocational training and are distributing to public also with the support of our volunteers. Through this we ensure hygiene among the rural people. Every year we are distributing above 10000 soaps and detergent among Public.
Awareness Program on Sanitation and Hygiene
Gandhibhavan has been conducting awareness classes on Sanitation and Hygiene to the mentally challenged children at Gandhibhavan Special school for the mentally challenged at Kundaym, Pathanapuram.
Fumigation
Gandhibhavan Started fumigation in all orphanages in Kollam District with the support of District Administration. It was inaugurated by the Kollam District collector in the presence of District Social Justice Officer and other dignitaries. The fumigation will be continued not only at Covid-19 time and planned to do a continuous process. The volunteers of Gandhibhavan is managing the fumigation
